The current owners of this former sugar estate discovered the ruins buried in the tropical rainforest in 1984 and have since restored the unique animal mill and bell tower, installed authentic wooden grinding machinery, planted 14 acres in citrus and avocado trees and converted the original stables into an antique shop and interior decorating studio. The surrounding property is a designated wildlife sanctuary. Estate Mt Washington is open during daylight hours.
